Here are some sample letters to send to existing babysitting clients to alert them to a change in babysitting fees.
Hi Families!
If you’re receiving this text, its because you are on my date night roster. I’m writing to let you know of my rate change, going in to effect on xx/xx/xxxx.
If you’re already on my schedule, I’ll honor the previously agreed upon rate, but going forward, anything newly scheduled will be as follows:
$xx/hr for 1 child
$xx/hr for each additional childThank you!

Dear Long Term Clients,
I have been happy serving you over the past *while*. From time to time I reassess my service offerings and adjust pricing and service area to reflect what is viable from a business perspective. As of *date one to two weeks from now*, my rates will increase to $*amount* (optional: and my service area will narrow to *places*).
I value your loyalty and so if this change means I am no longer the babysitter for you, let me know and I can recommend someone from my professional network who still operates at my previous price point (optional: or in the areas I no longer am able to service).
Yours,
*your name*
