Fair and Legal Pay for Nannies

You may have noticed a new graphic appearing on your North Carolina Professional Association of Nannies’s home page. The new graphic indicates that NC PAN has taken the Fair and Legal Pay pledge.

We pledge that as part of our daily organizational practices, we will educate, support, and comply with all applicable fair and legal pay standards for household employees. Fair and legal pay means the observance and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws that apply in our service area(s), such as worker classification, minimum wage, labor laws, and tax laws.

Did you know that there’s a pledge for you as an individual nanny? Go to Fair and Legal Pay .com and take the Household Employee pledge, then download the logo and put it on your resume. It quietly tells employers who want to break tax and wage laws to not waste your time. Good for you. Good for the industry. There is no downside.
