We wanted to make you aware of an opportunity for those nannies who work with teens, or who work with charges soon to be teens, to gain professional development training for free.
The Raising a Healthy, Happy Teen Summit runs from March 7, 2023 to March 10, 2023, entirely online. New sessions are posted daily, and the sessions are only viewable for 24 hours.
Before you scroll further, if you are a current NC PAN supporting member, log in! There are portions of this post that only you can see!
Learn from experts about big questions and concerns of parents and caregivers of teens. You’ll walk away with practical take-aways, as well as inspiration for this season of life. Some of the experts giving presentations at this summit are those we on your North Carolina Professional Association of Nannies board follow for advice to improve our professional skills. Of note is Ash Brandin, @thegamereducator on Instagram, who combines their professional training as a mathematics instructor with their career experience teaching middle grades to analyze the scholarship on screens and video games and advise adults how to effectively incorporate some screen time and some games into a household structure.
That is too good not to share! Advanced registration is required to gain access to the talks.
For North Carolina Professional Association of Nannies supporting members:
We will be hosting a follow-up review session on Tuesday, March 14th starting at 6:30 pm, to go over what the key take-aways were from the conference, and to compare notes with one another (we cannot all manage to attend every session, after all).
If you aren’t a supporting member and want to attend the study session, there’s a unique opportunity for you!
We look forward to seeing everyone at one (or both) of these opportunities!
