First Aid + CPR (re)Certification including AED for 2018

Please join the North Carolina Professional Association of Nannies for our annual First Aid + CPR (re)Certification course. Whether it is your first time becoming First Aid or CPR certified or you need a renewal, we are here to help. This course covers infant, child, and adult CPR, AED, as well as infant, child, and adult First Aid. You will receive your two year professional rescuer certification from the American Red Cross on successful completion. This is a higher level certification than is issued at general community courses and is aimed for those who will be using CPR and First Aid as part of their job.

Cost: $38.

The American Red Cross is transitioning all of their trainings to a blended online-study/in-person-assessment system to cut down on actual class time. Take the online video modules (4 hours worth) at your own pace and on your own schedule, and then we will gather for a review session with our instructor, who will then give us a practical exam and provide us with our certifications.

The CPR (re)Certification Practical will take place on the 11th of March, starting at 1 pm at the Triangle home of one of our member nannies. It will last at most 3.5 hours.

For those of us who need the classroom environment, we are offering time to do the video modules at the same location, on the same day, starting at 8 am. Please bring earbuds/headphones and an internet-capable device (smart phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) with you. Internet access will be provided.

This event is being offered at cost, meaning that the fee covers only the cost required by the American Red Cross to issue your certification and card. Payment must be made directly to the American Red Cross using the link sent in your registration confirmation email. The instructor is volunteering her time. We will ask you to sign a thank you card for her efforts.

NC PAN Members will have priority for the seats in the First Aid + CPR (re)Certification, so know that if you are a non-member, you may be moved to the waiting list if this training proves popular.**

This certification is good for 2 YEARS and INCLUDES FIRST AID.

?Attendance is limited. Register in advance.

There is no requirement to purchase a pocket resuscitator mask when you RSVP. You can simply borrow one for use that day.

** If you already are in possession of a pocket resuscitator mask that you personally own and can bring with you, we have TWO (2) slots available regardless of NC PAN membership. Those spots are GUARANTEED. There is zero chance of you being moved to a waiting list. Email cpr@ncpan.org to take advantage of this. Failure to bring your mask will result in being turned away.
